I have this weird obsession with lakes and I think that some of them are just absolutely breathtaking. Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite lakes with you today, what I think are the most beautiful lakes in the world.
If you guys didn't know, I'm pretty much obsessed with Calgary and Banff. Lake Louise is in Banff, and is one of the most gorgeous lakes in the whole world. I'm determined to see it as soon as possible. It's so beautiful with the mountains jetting up all around. I'm obsessed.
Lake Braies is another turquoise blue lake nestled up in the mountains. It lives in a mountain range north of Venice, Italy. It's seriously stunning. If you like skiing, there's a great ski resort near by. This is a must-see for anyone with extra time in Italy.
I couldn't talk about lakes without mentioning my home state. We used to camp up in Stanley, Idaho, every single year before my parent's divorced. Redfish lake is beautiful, and sits just below the Sawtooth mountains. I definitely want to camp there next summer.
Lake Tahoe is an extremely popular destination for travelers. It sits just on the border between Nevada and California. It's an absolutely gorgeous lake that hosts beautiful hotels, and tons of adventurous things to do in and around the lake.
This is a beautiful lake (again, nestled in the mountains....are we sensing a theme here?) in southeastern Germany. It's so stunning. There are giant mountains all around, making for beautiful views and breathtaking adventures.
Obviously I couldn't list all of the most stunning lakes in the world, but these are my current obsessions!
